Ogun Council Chairman Talks Tough, Takes Swift Action
Ifo Local Council Chairman is not happy about the attitude of residents in the area, mostly traders, shop owners as well as commercial motorists and motorcyclists to the lockdown order, of both federal and state governments.
Recall that, the government in Ogun State has declared Ifo and Ado-Odo/Ota local government areas as the epicenter in the state, yet residents remain deviant and nonchalant to change.
In a chat with Correspondent John Felix, Ifo Transition Committee Chairman, Fatiu Folawewo-Salami said, the council has constituted a special task force, to complement state team to curb the excesses of the people.
He said, over two hundred persons have been arrested and prosecuted in connection with COVID-19 anti-safety related offences at the state mobile magistrate court.
