INEC trains security personnel ahead Bayelsa elections
In a bid to have a free, fair and credible election in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in the state, the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) in collaboration with the European Union Support to Democratic Governance in Nigeria has organized a three-day workshop on election security in Bayelsa state.
The Three-day Training which was held in Yenagoa the Bayelsa state capital was chaired by the National Chairman of INEC Professor Mahmood Yakubu.
Speaking at the gathering, the INEC National Chairman who was represented by the state INEC REC Mr Monday Udom and the INEC DG on Electoral institute spoke on the training.
On their parts, the state police commissioner Uche Anozia who was represented by the head of operations and an assistant custom comptroller spoke on their preparedness ahead of the Governorship polls.
The training featured different security chiefs across the state and the European Centre for electoral support.
