Delta Records New COVID-19 Case
Barely twenty-four hours after the Delta state governor announced the discharge of two COVID-19 patients after testing negative twice to the novel coronavirus, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control(NCDC) has announced Delta is having a new case among the new 195 cases in the country.
The new case which brings the total confirmed case in the state to eight also includes a patient who had earlier died of the virus, with the two discharged cases, bringing the total active case to five in the state.
The state Governor Ifeanyi Okowa had yesterday ordered that the total lock-down be relaxed on the 30th of this month, with preventive measures which include compulsory wearing of face masks, as well as the closing of borders for inter-state movement.
In another development, Rivers state also has a new COVID-19 case despite the lock-down in parts of Port-Harcourt by the state Governor Nyesom Wike after residents broke the lock-down order.
